There's more than enough of affordable live entertainment in Melbourne for $50 or less if you conscious where to look, writes John Mangan.

IN THESE chastened mercantile times, many people will be thinking twice before shelling out hundreds of dollars for a end of day at the opera, the theatre, or catching a big international music act.
