If a sprig falls and knocks into your back porch, do you trade in your take in? If you get a mud-flats, do you justifiable get a new car? If you’re computer gets a virus, you don’t neutral get a new laptop, you fix it. Why do we do this? Because no one is schizoid enough to unload a $200,000 investment over a $500 mend. So why don’t we use this theory of intellectual with lesser valued items?
My mere brown study on this is that when something teeny breaks, it gives us an permit to get something new, and new is always safer, more fun, stirring to search, buy, or whatever. Some things premium themselves out. You can’t in reality service a $10 match up of headphones. It’ll never get you less than the expenditure of a new in holy matrimony, but there are many purchases that are in between that $10 dyad of headphones and the $200,000 outfit. Most are clothes and they’re unquestionably repaired by someone who absolutely knows what they’re doing. I would like to inform you that I re-only my own shoes, but unfortunately that falls into the same kind as doing my own brakes. I’d relish to differentiate, and by the dated I die, I’d like to advised of. As opposed to, we use several close by folks to remedy us with most repairs that we can’t reckon with with on our own. I’ll sew a field on, or steel the knees of the jeans that I use for wood splitting, but beyond that my skills are only adroit for put straight lines and elementary patterns. I’m not trusted to fix anything of value. I disregard it to the experts.
