The lustrous painted Cybermen body suits - most complete with helmet, cricketer's trend gloves and laser guns -were just as popular.
The suits had been expected to invite bids of Stg2000 but ended up selling for between Stg9600 ($16,652.21) and Stg2880 ($4995.66) each.
Even a set of three fragmentary Cybermen costumes sold for Stg2040 ($3538.59).
The auction of goodies from the BBC's costumes and props archive also included dozens of outfits played out by the Doctor's recent assistants Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) and Donna Noted (Catherine Tate) as well as costumes for various space creatures which appeared in the 1980s and 1970s.
